A Pop of Purple

Love this space from Baltimore designer Patrick Sutton.

The lighting fixture and draperies add just the perfect pop of purple — well, violet really.  Being that I heart any shade of purple, this cozy space has my name {and maybe yours, too} written all over it.

  1. Thanks for the colorful blog and particularly for these purple-style pictures! Purple (strong purple) happens to be one of my favorite colors (they say it means something about one’s personality, have no idea about that )))). Anyway, I came to your blog by chance and was stunned to discover so many vivid and bold interior design photos (that’s how I found your blog, was googling for “bold choices” )))). I used to think purple goes mostly with yellow, but now I see there is a possible combination of purple-orange, and purple-tiger, just like in these photos.

    Have the greatest day!

  2. I totally heart purple too!! That’s how I discovered your blog — I did a search for lavender wallpaper and it brought me to a gorgeous bedroom you posted :-)

From what I’ve seen so far, I think your blog is going to become a favourite :-)

  3. Hi Monika!

The violet draperies just got me on this one! Thanks for asking about my office. It’s still a work in progress but I’m close to the end. Just waiting to order that last piece of furniture. Budgetwise, It was either: get the last piece, or have my kids go to summer camp. Since I did not want the boys home all day telling me that they’re bored, it was a no-brainer :) Anyway, can’t wait to share pictures when it’s all done!

  4. Put my name on it too! I LOVE the dining room! Both classy and edgy! Kelly, you know color and style for sure! How is your office coming together? I need some inspiration for my guest bedroom makeover.
