More Pink {and Blue}
Many thanks to The Washington Post for featuring this post in their Blog Watch column on April 16, 2009!
I’m loving pink right now. I’ve taken several walks this season, so I guess I’m paying more attention to pink blossoms.

It really is true that you notice way more when you’re walking as opposed to when you’re driving. The photo I snapped above is from my stroll near the Eastern Market in DC. The pink cherry blossoms set against that blue row house was so eye-catching! Check out the inspired spaces below:

This is beautiful, Kelly. My mother has pink disco wallpaper in her powder room from the 1970′s. This post has given me some ideas on how add modern touches to preserve the look and bring out the pink in a fun and exciting way. Great post!

Although I avoid pink in my attire (it looks terrible with my hair), I have a secret love of pink that dates back to my childhood. I used to dream of a pink room with a canopy bed, but alas, that childhood dream was never fulfilled! So, I created a pink room for my daughters, complete with pink and cream toile.
Spring in Atlanta is one of the most beautiful times of year, but nothing compares to the beauty of DC when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.

I love the blue house and the pink blooms. It reminds me of one of my Water Colors abstract photos (Pink Fields)….or should I say my photo now reminds me of this image. The blue and pink are both so soft and soothing and compliment each other well. Comfort food for the eyes!
